Isolated Liquidation Price Calculator

Advanced assumptions

What This Liquidation Estimate Represents

This page estimates a liquidation level for a simplified linear contract using the isolated-margin inputs shown above. It considers entry price, quantity, initial margin, maintenance margin rate and amount, and a close-fee reserve. It does not calculate cross-margin liquidation.

In general, liquidation becomes closer when the position has less margin available relative to its notional exposure or when maintenance requirements increase. The displayed result is a model from the inputs, not the exchange's live liquidation price.

Why an exchange can show a different price

Venues may use mark price rather than last-traded price, tiered maintenance rates, funding debits, risk limits, insurance or liquidation fees, and other contract-specific rules. Additional collateral or other positions can also matter. Confirm the calculation in your exchange's position panel and read its current liquidation documentation. You can separately estimate exposure with the position-size calculator. Review the disclaimer and privacy notice.
